Ivanovo Mechanical Plant performs metal bending of varying complexity. This service is a metalworking operation used to deform metal blanks in three dimensions to the required geometry. The material configuration changes under physical force — pressure applied to a specific area or part of the surface. The required force and direction are achieved by combining hydraulic mechanisms and a press. The force may act directly on the part or be transferred to a tool that creates the required deformation.
The process can be used with different metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and brass. The raw material consists of blanks in sheet or bar form. Bending complexity depends on the capabilities of the machines. By operating principle, this equipment is divided into three groups:
- Swivel. This type of machine is used to create angled shapes. Its main components are stops, clamping beams, and bending beams.
- Rotary. Machines of this type have an elongated design that allows large blanks to be processed.
- Universal. In these machines, blanks are placed in special dies and given the required configuration. They provide the widest range of deformation parameters.

Metal Preparation Before Bending
The accuracy and quality of finished-product shapes depend largely on the quality of the raw material and its preparation. Our specialists pay attention to every preparatory operation. Blanks are generally made from materials in our own warehouse, although the customer's material can be used on request.
Before bending begins, product surfaces are carefully inspected for critical deformations or contamination. Debris and excess coatings can deform sheets and cause shape irregularities or dents. Blank surfaces are thoroughly cleaned when necessary.

Metal bending is a labor-intensive and complex task. Accurate forming requires uniform force and continuous control of the force and blank position. A high level of production automation ensures that all operations are performed accurately.

- Approval. The customer receives finished samples. Changes to the design and production documentation can also be made at this stage. Manufacturing begins after approval.
- Manufacturing. We have all the resources required to manufacture parts, blanks, and finished products of varying complexity. All process operations are performed in-house without subcontractors.
- Delivery. Transport arrangements depend on the individual order conditions. The cost is affected by order volume, site distance, and route complexity.
