Ivanovo Mechanical Plant performs turning operations of varying complexity. The service involves machining metal blanks with cutting tools. The cutting tool is smoothly pressed against a workpiece secured in a special chuck and rotating around its axis. Coolant is supplied to reduce the thermal load on the machined surface. It cools the material, preventing deformation caused by excessive heat and improving cutting quality.
The technology makes it possible to machine both internal and external surfaces. The ways in which parts can be secured and cutting tools brought to them depend on the design of the specific machine. Different tools and cutting methods allow us to produce grooves and threads, remove layers, cut off sections, create pockets or shoulders, and ream and bore holes. Parts can be given cylindrical, conical, or complex custom shapes. The most common raw materials are metal blanks — tubes and bars made of different metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper.

Our workflow
When you contact Ivanovo Mechanical Plant, you receive full support at every stage. Custom part manufacturing is organized in several steps:
- Project development. Based on the customer's drawings or a newly developed design, we select the machining methods required to achieve the specified dimensions, parameters, and shapes. The more complex the product configuration, the longer and more expensive its manufacture.
- Approval. The plan is agreed with the customer and specific deadlines are set. The scope of work, cost, and other terms are documented in the contract.
- Preparation. Our own warehouse helps reduce the time needed to source raw materials. For large volumes or rare materials, we purchase from trusted suppliers. Parts can also be manufactured from blanks supplied by the customer.
- Manufacturing. All machining operations are performed using our own resources, without outside contractors.
- Delivery. Delivery schedules and conditions are agreed individually. The price depends on the destination region and order volume.

Modern equipment
We use modern, highly automated equipment for metal machining. All operations are controlled by an integrated control unit. Numerous sensors continuously monitor the accuracy of each operation and the working parameters. A high degree of automation prevents human-error-related issues, while multilevel control of all operations and finished products prevents defects.
