Industrial microwave oven production in Nizhny Novgorod

Industrial microwave ovens in Nizhny Novgorod from NPO Zvezda are energy-efficient equipment of our own manufacture. The high-performance systems were developed by engineers from our in-house design bureau and certified in accordance with GOST and international standards, including the technical regulations of the Customs Union. In terms of workmanship and operating characteristics, the proposed units are comparable to imported models in their class.

Features of industrial microwave oven production in Russia

The history of using microwave ovens on an industrial scale at Russian enterprises began only a few years ago. This was due to a lack of affordable systems capable of replacing traditional sterilization, sintering, heating and drying methods in terms of cost-effectiveness. Imported equipment is quite expensive. In addition, its maintenance and operation require significant expenditure. After studying market research results, NPO Zvezda’s management decided to develop and launch series production of affordable industrial-class microwave ovens for a wide range of tasks. Over several years, we mastered the technology for producing unique models using Russian-made components and assemblies. This approach ensured low unit costs with minimal maintenance and operating expenses.

Types of industrial microwave ovens

During the company’s operation, the technology for manufacturing microwave ovens has continuously evolved. In addition to standard models, the product line now includes many other configurations, including tunnel, furnace and chamber systems. Depending on the task, we can supply systems rated from 4 to 500 kW in various configurations.

Applications of industrial microwave ovens

Industrial microwave ovens in Nizhny Novgorod are in demand across a range of industries. High-performance equipment is ordered by woodworking, chemical and pharmaceutical plants, as well as coal, food and other enterprises.

  • Food industry. Powerful units enable sterilization, drying and baking. Our equipment is ordered for odor removal, expansion and treatment to preserve freshness. The ovens are indispensable for the industrial production of oatmeal, soy milk powder, rice or instant noodles, chips and other products.
  • Pharmaceuticals. The ovens provide rapid sterilization and drying of various medicines, herbs and other raw materials, including extraction.
  • Woodworking. Rapid sterilization and drying of wood, lumber and finished products without deformation, chips or cracks.
  • Ceramics. Sintering ceramic products, including large thin-walled items, at temperatures up to +1,800 °C.
  • Chemical industry. Our ovens enable rapid extraction and decomposition and accelerate catalytic and other reactions.

The suitability of microwave systems for production is determined by the properties of specific materials and their ability to change their characteristics under waves of different frequencies. Three key factors affect penetration depth and absorption power:

  • The dielectric permittivity of the material itself.
  • Wave frequency and exposure time.
  • The equipment’s design features and operating parameters.

During operation, the microwave oven housing does not heat up, eliminating the risk of burns or injuries to operating personnel.

Advantages of industrial microwave ovens

Microwave systems are a modern processing technology. Microwave processing offers many promising advantages compared with traditional heating technologies, including improved product quality, shorter process control times, energy savings and lower energy costs due to higher efficiency, lower environmental pollution, lower equipment maintenance costs and greater system flexibility.

Using this technology in industry provides the following benefits:

  • uniform heating that affects not only the surface but also the entire volume, unlike conventional heating;
  • high-quality drying of bulk materials;
  • adjustable intensity, allowing work with different materials and structures;
  • improved properties of processed objects or compounds when used correctly;
  • elimination of contamination;
  • no combustion products;
  • relative compactness;
  • sterile heat-treatment process;
  • safety;
  • improved working conditions for staff.

In addition, this equipment can often save time and electricity compared with traditional heating methods.

As you can see, microwave technology offers many advantages in production. If you are not sure whether it is suitable for your production, simply call us and we will be happy to advise you.

Our partners reviews

Industrial applications of microwave systems

In recent years, Ivanovo Mechanical Plant has actively developed the technology of using microwave ovens in industry. During this time, many sets of microwave equipment with power ratings from 4 to 500 kW have been sold. Our clients include institutions from various fields, from state universities to industrial and mining enterprises. Our microwave systems are suitable for various needs: drying, heating, and sterilizing food products, wood, chemical products, tea, medicines, paper products, and more. In addition, they can be used for other purposes, such as ceramic sintering and extraction.

Ivanovo Mechanical Plant manufactures tunnel-, furnace-, and cabinet-type microwave ovens.

Microwave ovens in the food industry

Our equipment uses microwave energy for drying, sterilization, baking, odor removal, puffing, and freshness-preserving treatment in the food industry. It is used in the production of rice noodles, oatmeal, dry soy milk, instant noodles, tea, confectionery, dried beef, potato chips, dried fillets, peanuts, and more. Every year, more WaveLane microwave equipment is used in the food industry.

Microwave ovens in the pharmaceutical industry

Microwave technology can be used to dry and sterilize powdered, granular, layered, spherical, or liquid medicines. Our equipment is suitable for the rapid drying, sterilization, and extraction of medicinal herbs.

Microwave ovens in the woodworking industry

Industrial microwave equipment is widely used for drying and sterilizing wood products. The system requires no more than 20 minutes to dry a wooden board 1–6 cm thick evenly, without causing cracks or deformation. Eggs and larvae of harmful insects are destroyed. In addition, microwave drying equipment is ideal for curing plywood or laminated boards.

Microwave ovens in the rubber industry

Japanese microwave heating equipment with a frequency of 2450 MHz and a power of 5~10 kW vulcanizes 3–4 tons of tires at a time. A German-made horn antenna with a frequency of 915 MHz and a power of 50 kW is used as a radiation heater, while program control is used for rotary scanning of large tires. This equipment provides uniform heating and a short vulcanization time. The microwave tire-vulcanization equipment developed by our company is equivalent to the systems described above regardless of the model, structure, or capacity.

Microwave ovens in the ceramics industry

Microwave energy provides uniform, dense sintering of ceramics. The maximum temperature is 1800℃. Our microwave ceramic-sintering oven is suitable for producing large fine-ceramic products.

Microwave ovens in the chemical industry

Microwave drying systems have a wide range of applications in the chemical industry, including decomposition, extraction, catalytic reactions, and much more.
