Industrial microwave equipment is widely used for drying and sterilizing wood products. The system requires no more than 20 minutes to dry a wooden board 1–6 cm thick evenly, without causing cracks or deformation. Eggs and larvae of harmful insects are destroyed. Japanese microwave heating equipment with a frequency of 2450 MHz and a power of 5~10 kW vulcanizes 3–4 tons of tires at a time. A German-made horn antenna with a frequency of 915 MHz and a power of 50 kW is used as a radiation heater, while program control is used for rotary scanning of large tires. This equipment provides uniform heating and a short vulcanization time. The microwave tire-vulcanization equipment developed by our company is equivalent to the systems described above regardless of the model, structure, or capacity.
Microwave energy provides uniform, dense sintering of ceramics. The maximum temperature is 1800℃. Our microwave ceramic-sintering oven is suitable for producing large fine-ceramic products.
