In February 2020, one of our partners gave us a complex technical assignment: to replace the control system and software on outdated imported equipment. Earlier in our cooperation, our company had supplied four pultrusion machines, which had proven successful.
To implement the task, Ivanovo Mechanical Plant engineers developed a new hydraulic power unit with an additional cooling system. In addition, a new control system for the pultrusion line was developed and implemented. The new control system fully accounts for the specific features of our partner's production.
Tests of the upgraded system were carried out at the customer's facility. The machines operated continuously for 11 days—the exact amount of time required to produce the necessary quantity of finished products. The output speed was stable at 30 cm/min.
As a result of upgrading the existing equipment, the customer gained the following benefits:
- substantial savings compared with purchasing new equipment;
- a more modern, reliable, and stable production process, ensuring higher output in the same amount of time;
- consistently high product quality;
- a smaller service staff, which also reduces costs.
