Production often requires mixing not only water-based liquids but also liquids containing volatile and flammable components, such as various solvents, acetone, different grades of gasoline, ethers and other substances. Using these liquids in a conventional dissolver mixer is very dangerous because an electric motor is located nearby. Special electrical equipment is therefore used to prevent fires and other fire hazards. When explosion-proof dissolver mixers are manufactured, the motors, control cabinets and other equipment are installed in another room without flammable vapors. The operator works with an explosion-proof dissolver mixer from a specially designed protected control panel.
