Today we would like to tell you about one of the Ivanovo Mechanical Plant’s interesting developments, created for our partner in Kineshma. It is a 3D bending machine for manufacturing automotive transverse rods.
Many people know that the Ivanovo Mechanical Plant specializes not only in manufacturing modern equipment for composite materials, hydraulic power units, and other types of equipment, but also in solving complex technical problems. That is why we were honored to develop this new equipment.
The technical solution had to consist of several components:
- Hydraulic power unit;
- A bending machine with seven pairs of independent cylinders, each of which performs a specific task at a particular point in the cycle;
- A cylinder control system.
The resulting machine has 30 pre-installed bending programs for different vehicle models, which can be adjusted or changed at any time.
The operating principle is simple: the operator places a heated blank in the machine, selects the required bending program, and then removes the finished blank. The process provides high bending accuracy and excellent repeatability while eliminating the influence of human error.
